Promise Land

Current mood: enthralled
Category: Goals, Plans, Hopes

"You ask me who do I, say that YOU are and I, say that YOU are the Christ, Son of the living God…"

Man, when we sang this tonight, God just spoke to me… as usual, I was "agonizing" over my newest "crush" and BOOM, the word of God just came to me… Is ANYTHING too difficult for God? God was just saying to me… Anna, who do you think I AM? If you say I am Christ, Son of the living God and nothing is too difficult for me than why are you stressin' and crushin' and just taking this upon yourself when I can handle it? I will arrange it for you… don't worry… I got it… I will take care of it… NOTHING you can do will make it or break it if is or isn't from Me. So I was like… ok God… You're right (DUH)! And when Pastor Judah was talking about God's promises and how God is a rewarder, He's a good dad who loves us and delights in us no matter what, I was just thinking… ok He's my dad, I'm His daughter, He loves me, He will take care of me in this area… and I know He is doing exactly that right now! I feel like I'm in a bubble in this area of my life because God has put His hand over me and He is protecting me, letting me heal, preparing me for this because now is not the season… I'm not gonna lie… I hope the season comes soon… I just need extra grace to be able to handle this healing and waiting… but in the end I know I will be rewarded and that is my vision… and I'm waiting for it and it keeps me going… in purity… with patience… and I know it will be so worth it, so amazing, so much better than anything I could have ever hoped for or dreamed of… He knows me so well… and whatever He has planned for me will be perfect, I know it! Man, I can hardly wait for my Promise Land!

You order an iced coffee in December.

You know exactly which parts of Dumb and Dumber, There's Something About Mary, Meet Joe Black and Amistad were filmed in RI, and you can tell someone exactly where that is.

You know what the Coffee Cup Salute is, and who does it every morning.

You grew up with everyone you see at Stop and Shop.

You've never been farther south than Jersey, and not farther West than there, either, but are planning to move to Florida as soon as you turn 60.

You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends from Rhode Island.

Perfect Love Day

Current mood: loved
Category: Life

I asked Jesus to be my Valentine last night and this is my day so far:
Woke up to sparkling snow on the trees (not roads) and warm sunshine with blue skies and white fluffy dancing clouds with gentle breeze. How stinking romantic!
My kids brought me a TON of candy, flowers, cards and even a teddy bear! Lunch was YUM and I got my paycheck a day early!
I'm hanging out with my all my favorite people tonight and I got e mails and text messages from my loves in RI...
WOW... I've never felt so loved and fulfilled... Thank You, Jesus... I love You! You are the perfect Valentine!

Carwash

Current mood: productive
Category: Life

I got my car washed the other day and I was really surprised how good it looked after. It's been dirty for so long, I forgot what it was supposed to look like! I was like, oh wow its a whole different color! its like i forgot what color is was when i first bought it!

I think its the same with sin... it dirties us and if we let it go for too long we accept it as normal. we forget how its "supposed" to be... what its like to be clean...

there are too many "dirty" Christians walking around and they make it seem "normal" to be that way... but its not, dont let them fool you.

so... anybody need a "carwash"? you'll be surprised what you find underneath once all the dirt is washed away ;)

Used by God

Current mood: jubilant
Category: Life

Last night humbled me… it was amazing, it was powerful, it was surreal… it’s still hard for me to believe that God would use me. I mean that’s what I’ve always wanted, always asked of Him, and He has been using me, but not like this, not with strangers, not in such a powerful way. Last night I did the YP (young professionals) Commission (going out and talking with people about God, praying for them, giving out touch cards and inviting people to church) at Belltown (a ritzy part of downtown Seattle). There were 12 of us divided into 4 teams of 3. Before I continue let me add this: I didn’t really want to go. I mean I did, but I almost didn’t. I wanted to go to the youth service at my school, and I did, but I only stayed for the worship and then went to Belltown. Earlier in the day it was pouring rain non stop, but towards the night, it stopped. I told God that I wanted to go to the youth service and that I wanted my brother to come with me. If he did, then I wouldn’t go to Belltown, but if he wouldn’t, then I’d go. So I asked my brother and he refused (BTW-please pray for him) I was bummed out, so I went to the service without him. I stayed for the worship (which was awesome), but true to my word, I slipped out after and headed to B-town. God has answered me-He wanted me at Belltown. I didn’t know what He had in store, but I wanted to be faithful to Him and to my commitment to do this. Before we split up into our teams we prayed for God to use us. I felt that God has really been preparing me for this, giving me a heart for it, and He wanted to do something… something big. My team took the south side of 1st Ave and off we went. We were barely a block away from the church before we bumped into our first divine appointment. In fact, for the rest of the night we had nothing but divine appointments! It was unbelievable. I was in awe of how God has strategically placed people in our path… people who needed Him, people who have been searching for Him, people to whom He’s been speaking and doing work in their lives. I was also in awe at my own boldness. I did not recognize myself. I know for a fact that it was God Himself speaking through me, praying through me, touching others through me… giving me the words to say… it was my body, but it was Him who was in control of it that night. If you want to know exactly what went on and who we met, then either ask me, e mail me or IM me. I’m not going to post it all on here, but these stories are powerful. Thank You God, for using me. I’m so humbled that You would and yet so honored and so grateful. Use me more… everyday… everywhere with everybody.
